All Welcome
it fluttered against the winds, feeling the gusts beat against it's dark shape and attempt to force it back. the great bird cawed in frustration before it made toward the trees that would prove to hold some reprieve from the savage gusts. valac could tell that winter was fast approaching and it would not have been long before the ground was covered in a layer of pristine white. it would be harder to find food, the raven thought to itself.

it would have been wise to find a wolf – to become a familiar to one of them.

but the beasts were so arrogant.

the dark-winged reaper swooped down and landed on a low branch in the hollow. already, it felt as though it had shirked away from the chill in the breeze and had found a suitable place for rest and scavenging. with a twist of its head, valac peered down below in search of morsels that it might pick from.

Nunataq had never paid any particular interest to birds, because, unless they were on her lunch or dinner menu, she did not care to look up and enjoy such trivial things as looks or songs. She was down-to-earth person both figuratively and literally and birds did not belong to that reality.

Until one of them had swept down to stand on her dwelling grounds the same moment she was digging for some rotten morsel that was hidden underground. The bird was large and dark, and was suspiciously near the "X" on the map, where her treasure lied. This latter realization reminded her of, what she had to protec, therefore the girl bristled and barked at the raven defensively.
