She lingered away from the pack for a little while. She had attempted to track a deer that was nearby but her vision slowed her and she lost its trail almost immediately but the woman didn't mind. She had began to regain her shape she had lost all that time ago and she was finally feeling okay with herself again.

small game is all the girl is able to manage to snag as her foot heals, slightly unfufilling but it fills her stomach anyways. loosely hanging and freely leaking is a halved hare slung from her canines -- swaying as she limped on. avoiding others is her priority for her foot serves as perhaps the only weakness she has. urias was kind to her, but she was not foolish enough to believe that all within their species was like that.

but it is only her luck that she should find another standing in the intended path, causing her hackles to raise as her survialist mind races to the forefront of her concious. but scylla does not bare her teeth just yet. she waits, intensely staring and simply waiting for the other to notice her presence. if the stranger continued on, so would she.

The smell of blood filled her nostrils and then she spotted a wolf who was someowhat familiar but not quite. The woman could not put her paw on it at the moment. The wolf seemed tense at her appearance and she eased her stance. "Relax, I have no interest in your kill."

the girl drops the hare to her feet. cautious eyes do not break from the other, untrusting. and how was i to know that. the girl retorts with the slight tinge of venom in her tone. an inspecting snout leans outwards, intaking the other's scent and picking up on the fact that there was something distinctly different between the strangers and urias'. the lack and presence of a pack claim, but not one she recognize. what pack do you represent? syclla inquires, her head cocking to the side. i don't recognize it. perhaps too blunt, but it is knowledge she requires and answers she must recieve.

She chuckled slightly. "You weren't that's why I spoke up." Last thing she wanted was a wolf attacking her over some misunderstandings. "I was from a pack in the nearby woods but now I am part of Kaistleoki nearby." She didn't ask about the girls because she had no pack scent or at least from what she got from it.

you weren't that's why i spoke up

scylla lets out a forced breath through her nose in lieu of rolling her eyes. Kaistleoki. a bit of a tongue twister. interesting name. she murmers, making a mental note to save such information. but that had not been the other woman's first home, and with the indication that the spoken-of former pack lied nearby -- there remained only the assumption that she refered to the dark woods. in a rather hushed tone, scylla felt that there was no harm in asking. do you mean blackfeather woods? intensive eyes looked to lock with the other's, searching for any indication that the words would rise an unwanted reaction.

Her ears perked up at the mention of her former packs name and the dark woman gave a small nod when she asked if she meant Blackfeather woods. "Yes do you know it?" She questioned and secretly hoped she wasn't a wolf who had heard of their past misfortunes.

scylla offers a light shrug. only of the family that inhabits its borders.she does not name drop herself or her family, finding there to be no point in doing so. the girl could achieve the end goal of uncovering the answers she desired without revealing that another melonii had re-entered the wilds.do they still live there?. perhaps there was no danger, no real reason to fear her own last name but it was a chance she did not care to dance with. scylla did not even recognize the woman she spoke to, gathering that either she had arrived after the quakes or had simply not been notable enough for the girl to encounter.

She spoke of a family and she immediately knew which one but listened to her question. "They were all departed the last time I went to see what remained." Everyone she knew was gone including her children and she would always occasionally go see how the woods she had called home for so long had faired hoping maybe she would run into a familiar face but it never happened.

her eyes narrowed a fraction, causing a clear furrow to develop on her brow following the woman's answer. departed? dead or simply travelled elsewhere? her tone rises, becoming short with the other. the fact that it was a matter of importance to her was perhaps a dead giveaway to the more intuative but it was of little consequence to her in comparison. it was entirely possible that the quakes had wiped out the rest of the teekon's melonii bloodline and plausible that word of it would never have reached her. how tragic that would be. the rest of them were not as important but hela -- well, that was her twin. something she would mourn for the rest of her living days.

She gave a short shrug of the shoulders. "I departed from them to look for my son but came back to the pack they merged to find them gone whether their alive or not I can't tell you. There was only one member I'm sure is still in the same spot, a young girl over near the lake, there's a woods their not Blackfeather."

alive or dead -- there was no answer. but scylla took it with a grain of salt. the other was not as informed as she would have liked, and was unable to provide many supporting details to back up her claims. by all accounts, blackfeather woods had simply vanished. up in smoke and along with it, seemingly any chances she had to locating hela.

she does not voice it, but knows that nobody resided by the lake besides her. if hela did live in such a close proximity as she had for quite some time, the chances of them completely missing each other were slim to none, right? scylla was not stupid. if her twin's scent had rubbed off anywhere near the lake or surrounding area, she would have picked up on it.

deciding she has had enough of half-answers, scylla prepares to depart the other's company. if you encounter a girl named hela melonii, tell her that her sister is looking for her.

She mentioned hela and that was the girl she had been trying to tell her about and Moonshadow gave out a small sigh and looked to the girl before her. “I know where she is. If you need I can escort you to the borders of her new pack.” She didn’t want to go in that direction but she also knew the importance of one’s family and if the girl wished to find her she would help the best that she could but if not she would simply depart back to her pack lands with no more than a single hesitation.

i'll let u archive. thnx for the thread!!
and there it was. it was what she desired. yet when faced with the offer to recieve all one wanted, such a thing was ubruptly overwhelming. dead silent seconds pass between moonshadow's offer and scylla's delayed response -- the girl blanks almost completely. a deer in the headlights of something too good to be true. no, the breathy reply tumbles from her mouth. thank you. but no -- not yet. i'll find her myself. there is a glaring shock riddled in amongst the girl's usual aloof gaze, unable to face head on the emotions she felt rising to the surface. it made her feel weak. the sect had taught her to be anything but

and with that, scylla bowed out of the other's presence without so much as another glance.

She understood and Moonshadow was not going to press the girl to do anything that she wasn't ready to do just yet. "Well good luck in your endeavors." That's all she could offer the young cub. She bid her farewell and headed home.
