Phoenix Maplewood Opened the door,

All Welcome
Opened the door, to a place of luxurious sweets and luxury. Her eyes constantly found something to taste, but she refrained, as the smell of wolves were faint, but there. She felt it would be discourteous to taste what was not hers, despite the tree's dripping in a nectar, and berries surrounded the coywolf.

She liked this forest.

Grief weighed heavily on Artyom, who'd faced many losses during his time at Whitebark Stream. The latest blow came with his discovery of Dawn's wayward brother who took his own life in the Western plains, and his return to grim news of Aphrodite's fate.

While he had not yet approached Dawn with the idea of regrouping their wolves and relocating in time for Fall's approach, the gilded Alpha was eager to seek a fresh start elsewhere. The pale forest by the river had served them well enough, but it pained him to think of recent times there. A new land with fresh resources would be good for them, so he slipped away to consider his options with a wander through the nearby maplewood.

He would take some of the cubs along for a trip to scout the Taiga to the North in the near future, to allow his mate an opportunity to mourn without the added strain if worrying for their rogue offspring.

On picking up the trail of a stranger, Artyom felt his guard hairs prick. With so many incidents having occurred far too close to home, he was eager to intercept what could potentially be their latest threat. The creature he found seemed far from intimidating. She was a young thing, lithe and sharp-featured, and the ranger let his muscles slacken. For the time being he simply watched, and waited for her to notice him.

She always was alert. The feeling of someone watching her never seemed to leave, even when she was born, her fur always prickled with shivers following her back. She constantly moved, but even in pitch lonliness, Quest always felt like someone, was always watching. She was keen when one was actually watching, and so she turned, and looked at the at the sunflower man, with her own rosen yellowed eyes.

There was silence, but the coywolf gave a short nod of 'hello.'

When the silver stranger took note of his presence, Artyom lifted his muzzle in acknowledgement. He maintained silence as they lhpwatched one another, curiously hesitant, and figured she would pose no threat to his family. While his bristled fur smoothed, some concern remained and the flaxen ranger moved forward in an effort to be close enough to test the scent she might carry.

"Hello," he greeted at last, keen to commulocate that he would be of no threat to her. "Are you alone?"

She kept a calm allure, thinking herself of no threat, and did not notice the previous wariness he carried. The golden man came closer ans asked a question, "I am," she answered, and continued with silence. As so she will always be, and prefer to be. He however, gave a smell of others upon his pelt.. It smelled familiar, but she couldn't remember who.
