Meadowlark Prairie it's rolling round the bend

Lenny had spent most of the day in the prairie. He had drifted from the Caldera's side toward the forest side. Enough to realize that they had close neighbors. That had made for a bit of a skittish concoction in his mood that day. Worse than usual. He had no interest in pissing off a bunch of wolves. Especially while he still crept along his deadline that the stronger woman had set.

And he had not yet established any progress to show her much when the time came.

Maybe that was why he hid out in the prairie today. Still too much of a coward to establish himself with the bigger beasts back home and seek them out for company.

Lenny could just do this the rest of the sunlight hours he had. Stand in the field and stare down the woods in the distance.

Fia was on the move. She was perhaps a week's run from Dragonfly Grotto, still chased by the memory of smoke, but on sunny days like today, the memory of her home seemed a bit further away. And especially here, as thick woods gave way to a vast, green plain, punctuated by shards of prismatic colour.

With the birds and the beauty, it was basically a Disney movie. 

Fia felt her lips curve despite herself. No matter what, there was something to be said for the sun, warm upon her back, and for an, if not full, at least satiated belly, and no imminent threat of danger. The dark wolf plodded on, a smudge against the brightness of the surroundings, slowing only as the wind brought her the scent of a pack wolf, and her eyes came to rest on a small, angular figure in the distance. The tawny wolf in question seemed to be staring at something intently, hidden in the copse of trees that lined the prairie. 

In the manner of the Overly-Curious Passerby, Fia came marginally closer - but not too close - and after some hesitation, spoke up quietly. "What are you looking at?" she asked, dark tail twitching.
