For @Makan. Forward dated to April 21st.
Night had long since fallen over Moonglow. Many of it's residents and the surrounding wildlife would be asleep at this late hour. Not so for Keyni. This evening found her wide awake and restless. She usually had no trouble getting to sleep. She wondered briefly how this would affect her daytime routine and productivity. She would hate to stay in, just because she needed to catch up on rest.
She was by the lakeside again. The perimeter she walked quietly, ears and eyes open for the sounds of rustling in the grass or bushes nearby. It was at this spot last year, she had observed a herd of deer. If they were still here they were likely asleep, so she saw little point in actively hunting. What she did find, as it bumped against her wrist, was a weathered set antlers. She scrutinized them. Judging by their size, they likely belonged to a young male who had not made it through the rut. Reaching down, she would claim them. They'd make for a fine accessory once she had settled on a den for herself.
