Two Rivers Isle when the light reaches

Eventually, Everarda had left. Parting ways with her parents and Manias, she traveled for weeks before reaching the Isle. Where were the others? The rest of her siblings? All the scents were stale. She looked around for any sign of others. Only foxes, hares, and the occasional deer. A raven cawed in the distance. She was alone. The fawn pelt draped over her shoulders, she crumpled to the ground.

Grown, some. Taller now, and adorned with furs befitting a princess, as was their lot. Or used to be, before the Isle fell.

A quick glance and sniff at the air told her no one else was around. Not Manias, not Iseul, definitely not mom and dad. Their scents hadn't graced this place since they'd left it a month or two into her life. Everarda. Huh, what were the odds Ines would find her way back to the Isle, just to find one of the very wolves she'd spent all this time looking for?

You're a sight for sore eyes, she said for her approach, did mom and dad hear of the Isle's miserable end and send you to fetch us home? there was something of bitterness in her words. She didn't mean it against her sister. She hadn't been the one who'd given her the option to stay.
