All Welcome
Lament had rarely ever been uncertain in her life.

Today she was. There was no direct structure for her to abide by. She did her basic duties of making sure there was safety for her sister and those her sister cherished.

But what did Lament do for Lament?

She dreamed of paradise some nights. She dreamed of singing her songs for many ears, for none could sing like she did.

Yet instead of action, she laid like a stone sentinel on a high red stone.

Ko'a many times had felt the weight of the in-between. A thing which many a coywolf would fore er share. Wolves to look down at her, coyotes to fear her.

Among Tribe, Ko'a was welcome. Especially so by the extension which her cousin had built in these lands. Still, Ko'a at times had fallen into the place of third wheel. Candle and S'ari were close. They had their pups. They shared their first motherhood together. Ko'a followed into the quiet steps of @Zoug as hunter.

Now, Candle had a relation returned to her. Kusuma had a returned lover. Who did Ko'a hold close?

She found closeness in Tribe as a whole. This is all she needed, content to live her life through the happiness of others.

Yet when she looked to the dark woman perched upon the red rock, she did not look particularly happy. What ails this one? The coywolf calls out from below.

A kind voice reached her ears.

When she turned to look, it was to see a woman. Small and lanky, beautiful. It was everything Lament thought a coyote should be. She saw no mingling of wolf in the woman.

Perhaps she stared too long before she spoke.

Not sure.

Why did the woman stay down there?

Come? An invitation, that she would accept being declined if one so wished.
