Valtyr traveled North after visiting the Plateau with renewed confidence. Soon he would be a member of Lost Creek Hollow and would be expected to have some skills to benefit their tribe. He thought of ways to improve his meager abilities and sighed when he realized, once again, how much he had to learn. Tracking, botany, hunting... all skills he needed to improve.

A lumber shape caught his attention. Large prey moved in the distance... northern animals Valtyr had never seen, and he watched the curiously. The plains of the taiga were vast like a green sea and left little cover to shelter a lone wolf, unlike Emberwood. How much longer would he remain here?
Ah, the blood of deceit is a nourishing flow....

She wondered if her children would explore this northern taiga. The Night Queen walked through this cold, forbidding land, and was constantly reminded of her children's surrogate father, Bane. He was an arctic wolf, and in her children's blood ran the ice of the north. It had to call to them, in a way.

The prey here, were huge. Yaks, she thinks they are called. She watched a group of them, luckily for them, with no hunger in her eyes, only curiosity. Would they chase after these creatures too?

Her dark indigo eyes wandered around this endless, bitter cold plain, resting for a moment on a wolf in the distance. Would they kill here?
