she's trespassing! slight pp is alr, if needed. :)
Reasoning has never been one of Aderyn's strong suits. Nor is it a characteristic of her nature, while imprudence has its place among her follies.
The desert scenery has surely grown stale to her, though this night, the clear view of stars affords a worthwhile sight. No clear motive, she brazenly disregards scent boundaries, already having formulated an excuse for potential aggressors. Didn't notice the markings, lost her way, feigned confusion; all the usual bullshit.
Luck always seems to trail her. It's a wonder it hasn't yet run out.

at first, she figured the tiny dark shadow was her own, set oblong across the sand, at a strange angle from her own body. it was only when she took a step backward and stopped—and the shadow kept going—that she realized she was mistaken.
fiamma barked sharply, reeling back into an imperious trot as she sought to cut off the stranger as close to the border as she could. their intersection would come just within the territory, and it was there that she would square up on the little fae, chin lifted high above hers.
she stood firm, ready to call for backup in case needed—which she sincerely doubted she would.

you trespass here, she informed the woman coolly. her muzzle stretched in a smile that did not meet her eyes.
why?

It would be unfair to say an interception came as a surprise. "Well...see, I'm a slight bit lost! This here spot is a bit confusing dont ya think?"
Perhaps the gunmetal woman will catch the hint of truth in her tone. The basin has spanned on for a stretch now, though it isn't entirely new.

sorry for delay, short post

there was no yielding, only reply.
fiamma surged forward, aiming to seize the woman's lithe dark scruff in her jaws. should her aim be true, she'd clamp down, pin down, force down. . .
perhaps she clenched hard enough to draw blood. even if not, she had the scent of the interloper in her nostrils, mixed with the hot, heady aroma of desert dust and flora.

you should learn borders, she grunted, straining with the effort of holding this trespasser at bay.
and not to go past a pack's claim.

Perhaps she'l never learn to see the gravity of things, even as she lets out a sharp cry on impact. The grey wolf's jaws drew blood, Aderyn remains adamant as always, sulkily kicking at the hostile canine. There is frenzy in her tone.
"Would ya just- listen! I'm fuckin lost as in no clue where I am or who's patch of dirt this is!"
Snout pressed into the coarse sand, the prairie wolf only struggles for a few more seconds, before falling still. Awaiting judgement.

the woman claimed ignorance. fiamma didn't trust her as far as she could be flung.
when the scrawny wolf relented, she backed off, though continuing to hover over the interloper with cold eyes cutting into the other's skull.
you are on claimed ground, she reiterated, her words muffled as she kept her mouth upon the dark scruff,
past marked borders. i hope for your sake that you are just ignorant and not purposefully deceitful, signorina.

you are lost?fiamma asked.
you will come further, and join us—or you will turn the other way and go. my friends will not hesitate to kill you on sight if you return.
