Thread title translates to "Kingdom of lights"

She remembered this place well -- it was the same place she had met a dark clad boy named Antares once. During a time when she might've been sad, grieving, but at least had a place to turn back to with the optimistim of thinking she had direction.  Now things were a bit different -- all the tears she'd shedded over Taro's corpse had since gone, and there was no longer room left for optimistim anymore. She had grown to old for that; old enough to know that she must be prepared for the next devastation to happen. It was only a matter of time until something happened to Brecheliant, as did every other place Izumi once called home.

Farther and farther, she strayed from the willow decorated fen and into the night, seeking to walk among the field of luminescent insects. Fortunately, nightmares were not the cause of her departure this time -- and as such, it was easier to enjoy her early night stroll with the tranquility she'd wish for....

The hell was he doing back here?
Really, the grand scheme of it all, there hadn’t been much for good memories here. Most fit had been stripped away, one way or another.

There was a certain tenacity, perhaps, that lured him here once more. A curiosity of what had become and what could be. His eyes purposely kept away from the looming Moonspear—the accident something he vaguely remembered.

Explosion—the shatter and tumble of rocks. His head had bounced off something, like he had been nothing but a rubber ball. The ringing that lasted for weeks in his ears—was it still here, now? He didn’t know.

He didn’t care.

Bruises had healed, as they always did.

The Glen was a familiar place to him. His eyes fell upon a delicate form—his molten eyes considering that perhaps an angel had finally come to deliver him. A wry smile quirked at the corner of his lips—angel, indeed. He was destined for hell.

Her trail through the stardusted fields came to an abrupt stop,  and a slight cant of her pale crown revealed that she wasn't alone anymore.

The only other one she would've expected to see through these flickering lights -- or at least, recognize -- was the navy-eyed reaper himself, but instead there stood the complete opposite.

Like night and day; sunlit hairs, and eyes as stark as the sun. He was looking in her direction, smiling? -- did he know her? Did she know him? What was going on?

"Wh-What? What happened?" The crane asked the blonde man, scanning the glen in confusion one last time before her lilac stare was planted back on him. Her placid expression did not show irritation, but a plush tail still flickered irritability over her rump. The way he smiled made the siamese feel like she was the butt of some joke he wasn't letting on, and she couldn't help feeling insecure about it -- exposed under his gaze for a reason she knew not....

Her question was oddly placed, he considered. The stumble of her words—uncertainty, was it, that shone from her eyes toward him? He eased himself, holding off from moving closer to the ashen dove. He considered his words, tongue sliding carefully over a tooth before his lean shoulders lifted to a shrug. “What happened,” he repeated, his bright eyes drifting back to the looming shadow of the Moonspear. What had happened, indeed.

“Do you know what happened to the Moonspear pack?” Maybe, if he was lucky, someone could help him patch together the foggy memories in his mind. Help piece him back together.
