“Bastard,” she uttered quietly, lavender eyes staring down at the body of @Germanicus.
She had asked him multiple times to seek help—had even considered looking herself, but he would not see it.
Now, here he lay. And while they were strangers at best, she could not help the wave of grief that set over her.
No scent of his children lingered. The ones he claimed had existed, and that he traveled with.
Her eyes, riveted upon the tiny acorn strung tightly to his fur.
Lifting her eyes back up, she looked to the direction of the mountains—resolved. Knowing what she must do. And with one more lingering look to the man who had imparted wisdom to her with only the desire to help.
And there, she turned, without looking back, as she would look to seek out the kingdom he had mentioned—having traded one gilded cage for another, it would seem.
