Crumbling.
Dragonspine had just been — strong? He blinked at the thought. He had thought so with a certainty so stiff that when he was punched by reality, he folded instantly.
It was why he had come back, but stayed away.
Upon the back of the Dragonspine's borders, overlooking the tangle, he lurked. Torn between staying and being dutiful until his own possible last moments or — instinct. Sickness swelled around and survival instincts begged him to go away from here. Lest he end up like the leading pair too.
So why did he stand here still?
Was he made of emotion or instinct?
