the weather had calmed.
tuhin had a fondness for the cold; the driving winds, the falling snows, all as integral to them as their own nature. but nor did they mind those moments when the sun finally broke free of the clouds and brought with it warmth. when the mountain-slopes caught the breeze and turned the air still, they thought, wistfully, of the warm summer months, and finding a place to lie down and nap in the grass.
but the snow was still thick up to their elbows, meltwater soaking and refreezing in the tangle of their fur, and there was work to be done.
they had filled a small number of caches by now, and with rabbit hanging lifeless in their jaws, wound through the treeline to store it away in the next. still they found themself restless. the promise of going beyond the glacier's borders, seeking and learning, was a more appealing proposition, but they were not one to leave a job half-finished- this last, they decided, and then they would see to what waited beyond the horizon.
