All Welcome
Fabienne was halfway to adult hood. A long, thin rangy wolf with wild eyes and an even wildier temperment. Her soul screamed with feral energy and she bid the world try and damper it. It couldn't. It wouldn't and she knew this.

This day found her ranging along the nearby ridge. Nosing at rocks and dirt. Taking in the world that was hers. There were few around. English was not her first language, not any language really. She made her needs known in the way she took her prey. Her desires were expressed as she danced along shores. She was an enigma and she was happy to live the world between fire and ice.

Hunger and intense cravings had pushed Hokulani out from the river. Her bump was showing now, and many of her days were spent resting while Seastorm tended to her. It was pleasant, but today she was too restless to wait on the woman's hunt.

She found herself on the ridge where months earlier she had met Alaric - oh, she missed those eyes! But while she found a familiar scent, it wasn't him.

Fabienne! She called, genuinely surprised when she spotted the familiar young girl. Was she still alone? She had gotten bigger.

Fabienne had little memory of wolves that had come and gone. Even her family. Most of them spread far and wide. The one who held her most in her forefront was Sobeille, but even that cousin aunt, had not been as active in her life. She had grown up largely on her own.

Her name was raised, curling around her ears in an accent she did not know. Head swung large to meet the gaze of the she wolf that had fed her. A tilt of her head and a shift in her paws. She trotted towards the new one, based on the low swinging belly this one couldn't move fast.

Fabienne joined her, Hokulani lowering her head to inspect her scent. Whether or not the young girl remembered her she didn't know, but she wasn't met with aggression at the very least.

How have you been, still don't speak common? She asked the question without expectation of an answer. Still hungry? She hoped so. With help she wouldn't need to stay on her paws for nearly as long.

Fabienne allowed the intrusion of her space for a moment. But she quickly put miniscule space between them. A small dip of her head. A smile reminiscent of her father she did not know. The impish delight.

She shook her head. Little. Mwen pa pale anpil lang komen an. Men, mwen konprann.

She took a breath and repated two words. I undestan' it.

A small tilt of her head. A nod. She was always hungry.

Hokulani smiled. Maybe they could communicate a bit better now.

Me too. It's why I came out here. She admitted. Let's hunt?

She knew for certain that she would be a bit of a burden on any hunt right now, but Hokulani was determined to try. Her unborn children would understand being shook around a bit for the sake of her happiness, it's not like it would kill them. Probably.

Fabienne could understand. She still couldn't speak it well. That much she knew. Amd truthfully she didnt try. She carried her mothers languages like a shield and spear together.

A nod she could hunt. Do more work than this one. Because judging by belly size. She was having babies soon.
