She rejected his offer, but graciously. He smiled, knowing whatever pack she ended up in, whether it was his or not, would be gaining an asset. She promised they would see each other again, and he nodded, hoping it to be true. Steady didn't have many friends outside of his pack and the wolves he considered family. He thought he was on the verge of an alliance with Broken Antler Fern, but it was nice to know there was another wolf out there he could call friend.
She bid him farewell. I do hope you come and visit, or maybe we'll run into each other again, he said, smiling. He watched her leave, waiting until she was out of sight before he stood and made his way back home.
