@Pema, pretty please?
It was time for him to be on his way. He'd enjoyed the time he'd spent with his extended family, but he had family of a kind in Easthollow as well, and his return was long overdue. He'd have to speak with Grayday and Shale, and say a few more goodbyes as well, but there was one conversation he didn't want to put off any longer. The earthen male followed a familiar scent through the woods, searching for the pretty young shewolf he just kept running into. Clearly, fate was pushing their paths together. He planned on helping that along as much as he could before heading out of Morningside. Who knew when he'd get the chance to see her again?

She was happy to have meet Day's brother Shale. His resemblance to Day was uncanny, it was almost scarry. But seeing as how they were in the same litter it wasn't too far of a stretch. She had already meet his older brother Murdock before they arrived. The family reunion had gone on for the last couple days. Pema was happy to know that they all were getting along and getting to know one another better before they had to go their seperate ways.
When she saw Murdock again she had expected him to be as he was before. Flirtatious, teasing and playful. But that had been when they were along, but once others were around like Cat, things changed. She wasn't sure if it was jealousy or what, but it didn't sit right with her. Like he acted that way around all the girls not just her. They weren't together or anything, but thier interaction had made her feel special in a way, and now they seemed void.
She was resting outside of her den when Murdock came about.

He spotted her before too long and picked up his face to travel the last few paces to her side. The male laid down beside her, not quite touching, and crossed his forepaws in front of him. "I wondered when I'd see you again," he said, offering her a charming grin. "Seems like I've only seen you the once, whole time I've been here." He'd begun to wonder if she had a beau within the ranks, but while he'd not looked into overmuch, he also hadn't caught wind of anything like that going on.
Whether she did or didn't, though, Murdock was still inclined to seek her company. He'd lost hope that she might be persuaded to leave with him by the end of his time at Morningside - she seemed to be thriving here, and he couldn't begrudge her that. But while they might be on two different paths, the male held onto his hopes that she might warm his bed before he returned to Easthollow.

She didn't move when he decided to lay down next to her. She simply turned her head, that rested on her paws, to face him, and gave him a quick smile. "I thought I would give you some space. Give you some quality time with your baby brother and sister-in-law." she said with a hint of tease in her voice. Even though she might have been a bit jealous that Cat had gotten some of Mur's attention, she still thought it was hillarious to think that Mur had made googly eyes on his brother's girl. The two might have similar tastes.
She looked up at him, taking a moment to look up at his appearance. Notice the differing colors in his eyes. One that was more orange, and the other a pale yellow. It's something she hadn't taken the time to nice the first couple times they interacted. "You have really admirable eyes, you know that?" she commented.

Murdock was tempted to ignore her jibe, but the opportunity to tease back was too good to pass up. She'd brought it on herself by teasing first. "Gettin' jealous?" he asked with a lecherous grin, only to have it wiped off his face by her next comment.
"Ha," he laughed, shaking his head. For a moment, he'd thought Pema was suddenly flirting back, but he was pretty sure she was just too nice and awfully innocent. "You're a cutie," he told her, leaning over to steal another kiss. "Good thing there are no cliffs around here for you, huh?"

She made a noise "Pfft" when he accused her of jealously. Even if that was what she was feeling, she definatly didn't want him to know that. Again, it wasn't like they were together or he even liked her that much. After all he had just flirted with Cat a few days ago at the first sight of her, why would Pema be any different.
She blushed when her called her a cutie. She didn't know how to take it other then being flattered by it. She turned her head away when he complimented her and when she turned her head back he kissed her again, this time on the mouth. She pulled her head back, but didn't run away this time, or fall down a cliff like he mentioned. There was still a bit of shock, but not like before when she was scared. "Y..Yeah. Good thing." she stuttered, not knowing what else to say.
She was silent for moment before asking him. "Why did you do that... again?" she asked looking up at him shyly. Unsure as to what it really ment.

The male used Pema's shock to move even closer, so that his side was now against hers, and his nose running through the soft, feathery fur behind her ear. A comforting gesture between family, and a sweet one between lovers, but a bit forward between two almost-friends. Murdock was willing to take the risk; he wouldn't be in Morningside for long.
"I'm tired of stayin' away from you," he said, voice low and throaty. He gave the shell of her ear another daring lick and whispered: "Tell me to stop."

She looked at him with suspitious eyes as he moved closer to her and twitched her ears in slight discomfort when he came close to her ears. She was hoping for an actual answer, not some lust filled one liner. It was just confusing overall. It didn't seem like he really liked her, but why else would she be giving her compliments and making a point to seek her out. It seemed like alot of effort for nothing Pema thought. Not understanding that only one things might be on Murdocks mind.
When he said his final line and when he said his final statement and made another move to kiss her she did just what he said. "STOP!" she shouted before standing up and moving a yard or so away. She was breathing heavy from the adrenaline that rushed through her from just that moment. "...stop" she said again but in a fainter voice.

The male's blood pressure spiked when she shouted - they were at the rendezvous point, and anyone could hear. It made him anxious as hell, but he kept a cool head and rolled to his side, propped up by one elbow - a more passive position than he'd been in before. He didn't speak, but watched her pace away, brows creeping up his forehead at her reaction. He'd not meant for her to yell - perhaps snap at him, or brush him off and walk away. But not yell.
While he'd thought, at first, that only fear had caused her this distress, Murdock now wondered if he'd misread her emotions. Perhaps she was more affected than he'd realized - the heavy breathing could be explained that way. But he didn't want to take any chances on that, and either way, he'd given her an out. She'd stopped him.
"As you wish," said Murdock with a respectful dip of his head, with no small amount of regret souring his tongue. If he'd ever had a chance at Pema, he feared he'd ruined them by acting rashly. Perhaps he was simply getting to be too long in the tooth to play these sorts of games.

Her breathing began to slow. She hadn't realized she had been so lond and still didn't think about it. She was in shock, confused and maybe even a bit fearful she wasn't sure. No one had ever made advances towards her before and she wasn't able to tell if these advances were normal. If she was the one over reacting to all of this. His compliments were nice to hear, but they seemed disingenuine, but she didn't want them to be. Even his next statement made her annoyed simply because she could ready him. After all the words themselves were nice, but with the context... she couldn't.
She turned away and simply walked away, not in with any destination in mind, just away.
