Intended to backdated about a few weeks or so maybe! For @Zephyr
These were the last of his days to be untethered; almost free. Such freedoms carried little value to him, but for the mere sake of it, he traveled deep inland. Internally, he wondered if this would be his last time getting to traverse foreign landscapes. In the end it was but a trivial desire—to adventure. He was content with the sea, and the company of the few who inhabited the Bay alongside him. That was all that was necessary.
The sound of rushing water pulled him from his thoughts. Out of offhanded curiosity, did he follow. Soon, he was led to a gorge—a scar cutting deep through the earth, gushing with pale blood in the form of a raging river. The man stepped to the edge, and peered down into it. Surely, a fall would kill him. He dismissed the thought without care, and walked alongside the trench till he could find a place to cross.
