It was on that fateful day that she decided to go for a stroll. She had left the Caldera earlier that day to go take a nice swim in her old home, Broken Antler Fen... but she never did arrive. She was just about a couple miles or so out of the Caldera, minding her own bussiness when she heard a growl coming behind her.
She turned to see a bear towering over her, with cruel dark beady eyes that reminded her of death.
Fear tore through her and with muttering a word she ran, the bears claws swiped after her, catching her tail and swiping it clean off as it fell bloodily and abound to the forest floor. Odette did not notice yet though, for her tail had been paralyzed anyways, she just felt something warm on her behind and the feeling of having lost something, still she paid it no mind yet, all she could care about now was escaping.
She darted over roots and everything before her, pretty much in autopolit mode. She paid no attention to where she was, only the feeling that she had to escape, the feeling of dread and fear tainting her heart.
She ran so far for so long that finally the bear just gave up and she was running alone, finally exhausted she fell in the middle of running.
Then everything went black.
When she awoke, she was surprised to see dark blood oozing and surrounding her and that was when she noticed that her tail wa completely gone, that it had been stolen away from her and replaced with nothing.
She found herself much to exhausted to move and giving up due to the fact that she had no idea where she was... she was lost. She once again found hersef falling into the depths of sleep with little hope for her well being.
It was the next day when she awoke again, and this time forced herself to her paws, her throat demanding her for water. She stumbled awkwardly around for a bit before finding a small pool of water and thristily lapping up water from it, then she collapsed to the ground, ears drooping and wishing she was back at the Caldera with her family... whole and unijured, but that was not true. Right now she was here bloody and broken and she would just have to deal with that and the fact that she was alone. Soon enough she fell asleep.
On the third day she woke up once more to her colorful bright surroundings, quite the opposite feeling of her current emotions. She felt lost, alone and scared and found herself fearful of the thought that she could easily die out here alone and forgotten, never finding her way back home to her family.
She feared the thought that this could be her end.

The day leading up to this had been uneventful; Domi was becoming quite bored with just how mundane it felt. She'd been able to snatch a squirrel from its nest, but that only held her over for so long. The smell of fresh blood drew her into a new territory, though she was disappointed to find that the sweet smell belonged to a girl, rather than a free meal.
There was no hesitation as Domi drew near and placed her snout gently into the girl's side, her neck, then against her snout. She wanted to know if there was a point in trying her luck, not that her luck was that good anyway, but she figured when someone was dying they could use all of the luck they could get. The smell of blood had become overwhelming; Domi looked up and found that there was a trail of blood behind the girl, all stemming back to an apparent wound on her backside. Goddamn, girlie, she breathed. It would be a miracle if this corpse had survived.
Hello?Domi called out, unsure of whether or not the stranger was even alive. She didn't look too alive, but even the shallowest of breaths were breaths nonetheless. It showed that she had a bit of fight in her, and that was something Domi respected.

A voice.
Her head snapped up, she must have fallen back asleep, for a moment she found black spots dotting the edges of her vision, a result of moving her head much to fast. Tiredly she turned her head towards the other, not even afraid of who this could be. She was much to weak, much to tired. There was no point in being afraid because she was so close to death already.
"Who are you?" SHe breathed quietly, then in a forced louder voice she spoke to the female once more. "Help me... please?"

Domi jumped back, only a bit startled by the girl's reaction.
From the looks of it, I'd say I'm your savior. If you make it through this then maybe I'll consider giving you my name. She was trying to keep things light-hearted, as she knew stress could kill faster than a cut and was a lot harder to cure.
I'll help you, but you gotta talk to me. The fact that you can speak says enough, but I'd like to keep that going, alright? Now that Domi knew for sure that there was a chance, she moved with more haste, scouring the bushes and weeds around them for something thick enough to stuff the wound.
You came a long way?Domi asked, trying to get a rough idea as to just how much blood this poor girl had actually lost. She pushed a rock up beside her bottom and nipped at her legs to try and carefully coerce her into lifting her rear end. Then, after tearing away at whatever leaves were nearest, she pushed them into the opening with as much force and pressure as she could. It was definitely going to be uncomfortable for both of them, but it was vital to survival.

Her mind felt like it was set in a daze, still she did her best to pay attention to the female's words... this wolf was currently her only chance to live. She needed to listen if she was planning on continuing to stay with the living, if she ever wanted to get back home.
"From Red... Hawk... Caldera." She paused taking a few deep breaths. "Was attacked... by bear... ripped off para... lyzed tail." She paused once more, thoroughly exhausted from all this talking. "Don't know where... I am."

Okay, alright, Domi cooed through an awkwardly stuffed mouth. She had all that she needed to know, and there was no use in making the girl strain herself more than necessary. That didn't necessarily mean that the conversation was over, but for now, just hearing her breathe was enough. The bleeding had stopped significantly which proved to be a good sign. Domi stepped back and took in a sharp inhale, then pressed her nose up against the girl's chest to make sure she was still there.
Domi knew that that was only part of the battle; she'd need to get some meat, or water, at least, into her system so she could start making up for some of the fluids she'd lost. But she also knew that she couldn't just leave her like this for God knows how long, so she did what her instincts said to do and *sprinkled* in a few spots around where her patient lay.
Stay quiet, she told her, then turned to start looking for a mud patch.
August 10, 2017, 05:00 PM
Exhausted from everything she didn't even care to mind the urine surrounding her. There was already too much for her to do think about. She felt herself drifting towards the edges of unconsciousness once more but forced herself to stay awake for she felt if she fell asleep right now she might never wake up.
So she kept her eyes open and focused everything she had on staying awake and alive... it was all she could really do.

Luckily for both of them, a fresh drizzle had created a puzzle deep enough for Domi to get a nice mouthful of both mud and water. She raced back to the girl, finding her drifting in and out, and used her nuzzle to part the other's jaw just enough for her own mouth to fit inside. She streamed the loose water in first, then spat the mud down just beside her, as one could only assume that there was albeit digusting moisture to be found within it. Domi wanted to snap her patient out of it, but thought it to be more wise to regurgitate what was left of the squirrel from earlier first.
The pile smelled absolutely vile, but Domi kept telling herself that this is the rough part she had to go through to get to the good.

Sweetpea? Wake up, stay with me.She motioned toward the makeshift meal and hoped that she could find the strength to at least nibble.

Nova hadn't planned to stray so far from their lands but the truth was, they were settling quickly and things seemed to be in their favor. She wanted to know more about the areas around them, what sorts of places they could find useful, but equally important was the knowledge of other packs nearby.
Nova had been out scouting when familiar scent caught her attention and she'd instantly beelined for it, letting out a quick howl of hopefulness. Odie! It couldn't be - but maybe it was. She'd found Mato at random, after all, so she could now have one sister back too. When she managed to come closer she realized that there was blood, that something was horribly wrong. "Odette!" It was a cry of anguish from the little nebula, spotting the stranger - Domi?- trying to assist her.
"What happened?!" Nova instantly pressed her kisses to Odette's face, moving to try and stimulate her sister to keep her conscious. She ignored the pile the other had offered her sister, looking up with wide, fearful eyes - she didn't know if Odette had been awake at all, or what, but all she knew was fear in her heart.

She hated being vulnerable like this, but this wasn't the place. This stranger was helping her and that was a good thing. She saw the pile and awkwardly did her best to nibble on it, doing her very best to try and just ignore the aweful stench coming from it.
When suddenly she heard someone call her name... a familiar voice.
Soon enough the other was up and close to her covering her with kisses at first she thought, who the hell is this? What the frick is going on? Then suddenly her brain clicked and she realized who it was... Nova. What was she doing here? Odette didn't have much of a chance to think about that though, she didn't like seeing her sister all riled up like this. "I'll be f-fine... Nova. Don't... worry." She told her softly, even though she was a bit unsure of her own words as her hind felt like it was on fire and she had already lost so much blood, but still she wanted her sister to have hope, to not be so afraid. She took another bit out of the vile pile, her eyes watering a bit from the stench.

Domi winced just watching the horror show before her. All she could think about was how she would react if someone had told her to eat their vomit, and honestly, it wouldn't have been pretty. A familiar voice came from behind, one that Domi recognized as that Nova character from a few nights before. Before she even had a chance to properly react, she'd rushed forward and started fondling the patient, now known as Odette.
Being as gentle as she could, Domi pushed Nova away from the girl, fearing that she would become too excited in the midst of their meet-and-greet.

Hey, hey, she whispered,
she'll be okay. I found her like this, and I would like to get her moving so she can get on with you, but she needs to regain some energy first. She nodded to the pile with a slight grimace, then turned back to Nova.
Do you know anything about healing practices? 'Cause I could surely use the help.

sorry on the wait, haven't been feeling that great :|
Though she understood that Domi wanted to keep her from over stimulating Odette there was also the part of her aware that her sister seemed barely conscious and physical stimulation might be helpful. As she was physically moved from her sister she lifted a lip, not growling but clearly displeased by the motion. "I'm not going to hurt her," She said quickly, watching as Odie made her attempts at getting some of the food down. "Oh Odie," Nova sighed softly, seeing the blood all over her and the state she was in. Her first thought was that she looked like Burke now - missing her tail, a true mess, but what had attacked her?
"Not...a whole lot. Just some about plants, but I haven't practiced much." Nova admitted. "If we get her back to the Forest, we can keep her safe and let her recover more." But that would be a huge undertaking, too, something she was loathe to do in the state her sister was in. "Can...can you keep an eye on her for a moment? I'm going to track down some herbs for her." Not that she knew a whole lot, mind you, but she was willing to take what she did know for her sister's sake to do what she could for her.
After a moment she leaned in to press a gentle kiss against Odie's cheek before she darted, nose to the ground, to find the few herbs she did know about. She needed something for pain, something to keep her from getting infections; but it scared her to think that she might not be able to find help for her sister or that she wouldn't be enough - Nova shuddered, trying to actively shed the idea that she wasn't going to be enough to help her sister. She found a few small bundles - hoping she'd gotten the right leaves (Oak, though she wasn't 100%) and some of the bright marigolds. She brought them back, placing them in front of Odette.

Some words were passed between Nova and the female, but she didn't pay all too much attention to them, tired as she was she just focused on staying awake.
After what felt like a little while she felt a kiss to her cheek, she presumed done by Nova. Then silence as her sister retreated away from her. She felt mild confusion, wondering what her sister was doing, but soon enough she watched as her sister returned with some plants. Blankley though Odette found herself staring at them, wondering if she was meant to swallow them or what.
