a shadow had joined them — a shadow she recognized.

it was a pleasant surprise to find her brief playmate amongst them. she had assumed she'd never see the girl again, as most random encounters went. but by some gust of wind or wanderlust, a familiar face had reappeared.

the viper set her course towards the blackbird, a chuff released into the crisp morning air. "so, are you a poor runner or a poor sport?" she asked once near enough, a playful grin teasing the corner of her lips.

She had not expected to see the palefur again.

Vaermina lifted her muzzle when she veered her way, a playful tease in the curve of her smile and mischief in her tone. She returned a grin and a breath of laughter. Neither, she brushed the quip away, unphased, I'll challenge you to a race when I know the lay of this land better!
