the snow crunched softly underfoot as sólhárr moved through the dense trees of neverwinter, his lone golden eye scanning the horizon. the sky was a canvas of deep grays, heavy with the promise of more snow to come, but it was not the storm that brought him here. it was @Kinusi.
her voice, so often filled with stories and songs that danced through the halls of forneskja, had lingered in his mind. she was a keeper of the past and a muse for the future, and he sought her now for a task. one that would be granted with joy.
sólhárr's breath fogged the crisp air as he pushed forward, the wind weaving around his fire-brushed pelt. his steps were measured, confident, but there was a softness in his gait that betrayed a rare vulnerability. he called out, his voice low but firm, carried by the stillness of the forest.

Kinusu was not hard to find on this day. She stared over the horizon blue eyes on the gray of the impending storm. The air held a chill to it. That dug into her fur and squeezed.
There was a sound of someone walking. Ahe titled an ear back and twisted to look behind. The scent not having reached her yet.
Then a voice called out. The leader. So he wanted to speak woth her today. She Gabe one last lingering look to the storm on the horizon then turned towards him.

Hi. What brings you out and about today?

kinusi,he greeted warmly, his deep voice cutting through the crisp air as he approached her. his lone golden eye swept over her, lingering briefly on the thoughtful expression she wore. her presence was like the calm before the storm she had been watching—a quiet strength.
the wilds of forneskja treat you well, i hope?he asked, his tone steady but genuine. he came closer, stopping a respectful distance from her, though his towering form was hard to ignore against the backdrop of snow and trees.
he tilted his head slightly, his gaze flickering to the horizon she had been fixated on moments ago.
i have a task for you, if you'd be honored to listen.

A dip of her head. A small impish smile to reply in kind to his greeting. She still wasn't certain what to call this man. If he liked chieftain or simply his name. Lady Sialuk preferred decorum and manners hence why she always put lady in front.
Kinusi gave a nod.
An honor hmm. Shouldn't she make that distinction. But outward she showed nothing. Her father had told her as a bard a storyteller she must stay neutral on all things. Something she hadn't known at first, but she was learning. Her impish nature and sparky behavior did her no favors.
Kinusi gave a nod.
The wilds treat me fine.It was after all the wilds she was in more than the presence of the others. But who wanted a kid underfoot. When everyone was worried about marriages and new babies that they could forget about the old ones. She had seen it briefly in her time now. So brief her time and still she saw.

What is the task?.

it is one that only a storyteller, a singer, could carry out.
he tilted his head, a rare softness flickering in his golden eye as he studied her.
callyope and i will wed soon, after the solstice. it will be a union of fire and frost, blessed by mani. i would ask you to sing for us. to let your voice honor the gods and spirits who will witness.
a pause, thoughtful.
your father should be there, too. it is fitting for him to see how his teachings have shaped you.he finished, his tone measured, respectful, but firm in his suggestion.

She tilted her ears forward. And listened now. So it was a job specific to her skill set. Okay, okay. She could get behind that. But what was it, was the question.
Her eyes softened a touch at teh mention of a union and the she wolf Callyope. She didn't know her well. But she had a gentle spirit and she liked most of the other moonwolves. So she felt this would reach for this one too. Oh wow it was a big honor and she swallowed here snark.
Kinusi chuckled.

I'd be glad too do so.
Kinusi chuckled.
I take it you've met him. Character isn't he. If you invited him. Trust me he'll come. My dad never misses a party.

solhárr’s lips curved into a grin as he nodded, his golden eye bright with recognition.
his tail gave a slow sway behind him, the mention of kinusi’s father earning a soft chuckle.
aye, i’ve met him,he said warmly, the timbre of his voice carrying a rare lightness. kinusi’s presence seemed to draw that out of him—her enthusiasm, her skill, her energy.
it’s good you’ll sing. pick any song you like,he added, a note of trust in his tone.
callyope deserves the best, and i know you’ll give it.

he’ll be there, then! it will be good to see him.

A small wiggle.
She loved her dad. He was just wonderful.
She had a repertoire of songs in her thoughts, but she could thin kof a few haunting love songs that would both fit the leaders and the forest itself. She already began to hum a few snatches under her breath. Cycling through what she knew.
My dad is awesome. Glad you got to meet him. He's a little strange and sometimes he can be quiet and closed off. But dad is good. He's good.

It will be and I will do my best.
