Last post from me. Thank you for the thread! c:
The ghost saw something in the girl, like a small flame flickering about. If nurtured, he believed it would grow into a fully fledged wild fire, and, when that happened, he felt bad for anyone who stood to get in her way. The anger she harbored would turn her into an excellent Warrior, just as long as she maintained it and didn't allow it to swallow her whole. If that ever happened, the results would be horrible, and he found himself wishing for her to never reach such a point. “I am positive that, someday, someone will,” he told her, unable to keep a smile from his face at that. They might not share the same reasoning for disliking the man, but that didn't really matter. The only thing that was truly worth recognizing was the fact that neither liked the shadow. Sadly, he knew he could not be the one to witness the last breath leaving his body, but he hoped that, if anyone, it would be Star who claimed his life.
They were dark thoughts, the clouds swirling and expanded in Kove's mind, and he reminded himself that he needed to stop. Hatred would not be allowed to consume his body nor his mind, and that was a fact. Even if he hadn't forced the words and images in his mind away, he knew that the light that was Scarlett would have been able to the second he saw her—or, rather, thought of her, seeing as she wasn't currently there. With a light, almost dismissive, shake of his cranium, the Inuit lupine rose to his feet. “Consider this our real first meeting, then,” he told her. “I have to go now, but I look forward to out next meeting, if there ever is one.” With one last glance at her, he started to walk away, continuing on in the direction he'd been heading in before spotting her. The pallid lupine knew he couldn't hang around forever, as even at such a distance, the dark forest still seemed to call out his name. Mere whispers, floating on the wind, but demanding calls all the same.
