In case they decided to attack he would probably outmatch them, and if things got nasty he still had backup. Lavakho was the only other wolf Rakharo knew that would make a good challenge to him. And Zhavvi, although young, was a fierce fighter, trained by Rakharo himself. It would have been intelligent to think twice before making a move against the golden Khal.
