Kesuk wanted to move past the subject of Koda, but Saena, with her hatred so deep, wanted to linger. She ignored the question about what she was doing for now and instead fixed a scrutinizing eye on her friend's face. She knew that Koda was no longer part of the plateau from her talk with Dante, but that Kesuk had left with him shocked her completely.
"Why are you even still with that guy? After how he's treated the women in the pack?" she wondered aloud. Kesuk seemed like an intelligent wolf and a strong female. It would take a moron to subject themselves to Koda's misogyny. It was a wonder the man had a mate at all, and even moreso that it was someone Saena thought was so unlikely to put up with his bullshit. "You could do a lot better than a sexist douchebag like him, Kesuk. You're strong and smart and he won't ever see you that way."
Of course, Saena knew nothing about what Koda thought of Kesuk. She didn't believe he was capable of anything but his sexist judgment of others. He had not ceased goading her from the moment she stumbled in that hunt. She couldn't see how anyone like that could show an ounce of respect to anyone else... and, of course, he had gone after Dante. That would've been enough reason to toss him aside in her books, but she knew almost nothing of loyalty to love.
