But the other retreated, on his way, and Tonravik took his turning his back to her as some sort of acquiescence, and did not give chase or move to attack again. Her own saliva hung loosely from her lips, now, and when the other was out of sight the bear of a woman was on her way. She would not come scavenge from these parts again; she thought of how his legs flailed and nearly landed upon her belly, but scratched instead against her chest and his rear legs against her sides.
