Hoshor Plains cool for the summer

For a long moment, the she-wolf said and did nothing. Nor did Regipre. She remained still, watchful and silent. She waited for the wolf to say (or do) something first. It was partially caution that compelled her to wait, though it was due to her upbringing too. Wolves were superiors and so she must defer.

When prompted for the name of her mother, young Reggie did not notice the stilted speech, for it wasn't unlike the way her siblings spoke. But when the little gift replied, her voice was as clear as a bell. "Tom," she said, shifting her weight and flicking her eyes and ears a bit warily. She did not ask why the wolf wanted to know but waited to see what else she might have to say.
