While the two speak to one another, Thuringwethil puts most of her weight on her left front leg. She still listens, knowing Gyda has her concerns about her leg, but she’s sure the girl can keep the infection at bay enough that her body would fight the rest off. She’d requested warriors for her draft, with a handful of other small talents. None of the three she’d selected were all similar and it is a shame the rest hadn’t showed their faces at her doorstep already. Perhaps her connection to Trigeda could remain, even in distance.
Thuringwethil abandons the thought, glancing back to her companion to see her reply. Gyda’s own talents were mostly unknown to the dark leader. She knew the woman could fight, it had been proven time and again but they often spoke of other things when together. That will change in the days to come as they claim something together. Their time together would be limited to business, at least for a while, and a shadow hides the frown that’s settled into her dark features.

all that wanting, all that aching, all that capacity for love:
it never belonged to you in the first place
it never belonged to you in the first place
