He guided the ebony woman and her son through the Monolith Forest, chatting animatedly about the state of Rosalyn's menny beeg hole. By the time they reached the russet girl, laying still and in pain on a patch of grass just outside her make-shift hospital bed, Vlad had offered the Mayfairs several thousand times the amount of creb he could ever hope to catch. He would do his best, though.

"Thees Rose-ar-leen," the Russian introduced, scampering to his injured pack-mate's side. "Vlad meck find so gud healing wulf," he whispered / dribbled into his pack-mate's soft ear, each guttural word thick with relief.
