Neither of them touched her, which was a large relief to the girl who was putting on a boldfaced front. Apologetically, she looked towards the superior female, but decided not to speak on his departure. It was hard enough as it was to consider that she had made a poor first impression to both Betas at the same time, without further concerning herself with the fact that one had been disturbed enough to leave. Jhala's polite, though slightly intimidating presence, kept her from dwelling on the down too much.
