He could not predict her words or actions, he could not see her moves before she made them. She was, to him, a blind spot. The woman evaded his ability without even trying, and why? Because he harboured feelings for her? It was much different from his relationship with Scarlett, that much was certain, but somehow it seemed better. Being left in the dark, anticipating her next moves—he lived for it, for her.

When asked a question, Kove remained quiet. He had to consider his answer carefully, of course, neither wishing to say the wrong thing nor give an unclear response.
