Caiaphas rejected him with her usual flare and fire. Judging by the laughter that trailed her, Vlad found it nothing short of delightful.


What remained of Blue Willow's visit to Saltwinter was less pleasant. Rosalyn was cleaned up to the best of the healer's ability, fading in and out of consciousness as her position on the pain scale changed under Blue's manipulations. Even Vlad grew silent, unable to carry on his flirtation with Caiaphas as the Donnelaith queen did her utmost to save their red girl.
