But before he could react otherwise, the other wolf began to mosey past him, into the caldera. The black Alpha pivoted, leaping in front of the new recruit to cut off his path, eyes narrowing.

"Uh, where do you think you're going? You do not leave unless I dismiss you," he reprimanded in a sharp voice. "Did you learn manners in your previous pack?" Of course, he had behaved well up until now, yet Peregrine eyed him critically now. "I haven't even properly accepted you, nor given you a rank," the agitated Alpha pointed out with a lash of his tail.
