Larksong Grotto the tommyknockers

seff slept and terich was near, so vuk, wanting to carry her weight in at least some form, ventured from the grotto again. this time she moved toward the center of their land, perhaps to fish the water there. she was not accosted along the way -- while the girl was well-aware she could be spoken to at any time, she did not wish for conversation.

vuk moved quietly along the bank, belly rippled with milk and apprehensive of those who might see her before she could flee back to the comfort of her nest.
