Shadewood Adventurous

First, Laika rolled a 3 = Fail! Second, Laika rolled a 4 = Success! I'm having her try two times since this will be her last time hunting in this thread.

Laika laughed with glee as she set Shreya's fish next her the other one she had caught earlier. "There you go!" She barked, happy for her friend. "I'm gonna try one more time. I'm beat!" She padded up to her favorite spot again, slipping into the water and feeling it tugging at her fur. She slunk forward, eyeing the perfect fish. It was skinny, but better than nothing. She lowered her head and leaped. Unfourtunately, her aim was horrid and she landed to the right the fish, scaring it and all it's friends away. Stupid fish! She thought with a furious lash of her tail. But she controlled her anger and decided to try again. 

She walked around to a different side -- one she hasn't tried before. This should be a good spot. She waded in, peering about into the depths of the water. Ripples of liquid lapped just above her ankles as she moved forward. Finally, another fish came into view. It was the skinniest one of all! She silently snorted with exasperation in her head as she continues to slither further in. Of course the one she will eat is the smallest. She concentrated hard on this one, standing still for a long while and waiting for it to meander closer. Finally, it was withing shot and Laika lunged for it, grabbing it with her teeth this time and standing back up. The fish must have died on impact because it was not moving like Laika had braced herself for. She smiled with triumph, casting a hopeful glance towards her friend. Then, she spoke as best she could around the fish in her mouth. "You hungry Spring?"
