Giana, unlike her mate, had not been born into the Ferretti family. Her first year of life was spent as a rogue with her father, and the mountains had been their favorite place. Not because of the dangerous crags and smooth, silent stone, but for the way it seemed to place you right in the middle of the sky. He'd taught her all he knew of the stars, astrology, and was the reason she was who she was.
It was such reasons why she'd gone off on her own, finding a more difficult alternate path up before Remmy and Giancarlo had even started up. The regal female picked her way carefully up higher, leaving her usual inconsistent markings every couple yards. Again, not for anything other than her own possessive needs. Part of her wished the family would make home here, but something nagged in the back of her mind that such wouldn't be the case. Maybe she'd talk to her mate later?
Scents drifted up towards her, eventually, of Remmy and Gian. Doing some exploring, she assumed, like everyone else most likely was. This wasn't the ivory queens first time up the mountain, she'd slipped off the night of arrival to watch the stars for a while before the sun woke the world.
