Even though they shared a den, Bazi had seen very little of Ferdie von Pelt since Nightingale's arrival into the pack. The week leading up to her trial had been filled with equal amounts of training and fretting, and she had left the pair of them alone in the den whilst that drama played itself out. Now, with Nightingale safely within the ranks, there was time to talk - and they would talk.

Bazi had ascended to the beta rank in that time, and wasn't above asserting status to get her dear den-mate to share his woes. It as evening when she approached the den, walking proud and tall after a successful meeting with the new recruits. It was late enough for Ferdie to be considering bed-time, though his sleep of late had seemed restless and full of nightmares.

The bright-white yearling stopped a few feet from the den, woofing low to bring her dear friend out into the open. This would be a sensitive conversation, and she didn't want soil Nightingale's vision of her adopted family.
