Sleeping Dragon stormchaser

Droplets fell from the sky and spattered against the girl’s head. Her blue eyes were wide as she gazed upward and willed the clouds to rumble once more, hoping to see the charge of light that would shoot across the heavens in a display unlike any that she had seen before. The gift of sight had given much to her and Thyri found herself wondering what else would come around in due time. The dragon whelp had learned in a very short time how to walk, babble, and see; she could only hope that there would be more to unfold in the days that were to come.
 
Without warning, the sky was illuminated in light once again and there was an echo of a roar that followed. The silver and brown spot leapt back a step and yipped out of a mixture of excitement and fear that had flooded her system. It was then that her brother found her. His body had brushed against her own very gently and the small girl turned her skull to meet his face. There was a loving glance there as Thyri moved to press her own body against his. Having Hvitserk there was all the comfort that she needed. The tufts of his fur were warm from the inside of the den. As the rain continued to drop down on the two pups, Thyri moved her skull toward him slowly in an attempt to press her wet little nose into his cheek.
