He wasn't quite expecting the words that slipped past her mouth -- the open honesty of it was somehow whimsical as if he were speaking to pup that was yet corrupted by the world. It was a sudden reminder that he was older than many of the wolves he had come across thus far in the Creek, and somehow this thought perturbed him -- was he so swiftly passing the prime of his life without any accomplishments?
Scimitar was never one to dwell in pity, though, and amusement pressed to his muzzle in form of a smirk as he canted his muzzle slightly. "Looking for adventure sitting by a creek? I don't think you're going to find much there, darlin'," he spoke, his tone a gentle rumble.
