Sleeping Dragon stormchaser

There was a wild magic to the light in the sky and the rumble of thunder that sounded overhead. Though it was frightening for the young pup, she had found herself building her courage as the moments passed. It would not do them well to remain outside the den for long, with the nip in the air that promised rain, but Thyri was entranced by the sights before her and she was not ready to return to the darkness of their home. Still, the longer she witnessed the might of the storm, the more uneasy she could feel her brother growing. 

He moved to press himself in the crook of her neck and she stiffened slightly, hoping that her tense muscles would allow him to understand that she would allow nothing to harm him. Her baby blue gaze darted to him for a fraction of a second and lightning illuminated the sky once more, sending a flash across her own features. If she wanted to keep him safe, she would return to their den and allow him to nestle close to their mother. With a quiet sigh, she nudged him toward the entrance to their den and provided a small curling of her lips into a smile. The cold was already biting at her paws as well.
