Someday, perhaps he might find the lights that flashed across the sky to be interesting. Presently, however, he couldn't help but feel uneasy. He didn't know what caused the sky to light up as it had, nor could he feel comfort when a boom of thunder threatened to rattle the very ground that they stood upon. He'd sought protection from his sister, but even her silent promise to keep him safe hadn't been enough to calm him down. Hvit had wanted to stay with her, to watch over her, which is the reason for why he'd followed her out of the den. Yet, he'd quickly proven to be incapable of doing so, having deemed her as his guardian for the time being.
When he'd felt her nudging him, he'd pulled away just enough to meet her gaze. A smile filled out her features but, even still, some part of him felt bad for having put a stop to something that she'd seemed to enjoy. Alas, that hadn't kept him from responding to her prompting, and so swiftly had the child returned to the confines of the den. Only after he'd be able to see her lay back down would he follow suit, wanting to keep close to her as the storm continued outside. Until then, however, he'd stand and watch for her form, readying himself to move whenever she might.
She swept in and stole the flame,
leaving a dragon without his breath
