Kalika sucked her teeth in a "poor baby" fashion in response to the critisisms given. There wasn't much more of a response to be made, as Chip was actually making fair points. In her efforts to reach youthful independence, Kalika had managed to ignore the poor placement of her den. Still, she wouldn't let Chip know that she was right. While she'd wanted to have a good (or at least cordial) relationship with her packmates, it seemed that wouldn't quite be the case. She turned to leave and gave a final whip of her tail, pushing up whatever loose snow sat behind her.
