Bane lead the way in silence as they trekked up the mountain and across the range. With @Eros on tow, Bane had separated from the group with the intention of making a recognition of their surrounding territories in case they did end up settling down on the vale. He had left the child with the rest for the longer journeys, but this once Bane didn't plan to be out too long, so he offered the child a chance to learn something new along the way.

The cliffs had nothing but dangerous paths, most of which were too narrow for Bane's tank-like body to take. Slow and arduous had been their climb, but once down there Bane saw it was worth it. The view from the peaks was wide and far, but from the base of the wall he could see how well protected they were if they had the advantage of controlling the higher grounds. He made sure to make a point about it to Eros, explaining the reasons and the strategy it involved, and then started again to surround the base and find another way up to get back to the vale.

Rocks rolled down the precarious slopes constantly, one reason for Bane to be extra cautious. What he didn't see coming was the ram that tumbled down the wall, landing a meter away from crushing him alive. He hadn't noticed the other wraith observing the scene, but Bane's senses became fully aware of the ram and the eagle above. He warned Eros to stay put and creeping closer to the crushed body —heart still racing by the shock— sniffing his way towards as he measured the chances of filling his gut before turning back to the rest of the crew.
