For as long as Ayla decided what to say, Rannoch held his breath. After speaking, he had realized just how bold his request had been, and he had sincerely hoped that it wouldn't cause any further issues. But, to prepare himself just in cast, he tensed and anticipated the worst to come of this. 

He was pleasantly surprised at her response and, finally, he felt as though he could breathe again. "Thank you, Ayla," he replied as he quietly exhaled the air he had been holding in. He diverted his gaze then, his expression softening as he visibly relaxed.

"You have no idea how much that means to me," he admitted.
