With a frown, Rannoch admitted, "I can't right now," as he averted his gaze suddenly. Wanting to elaborate, as he wanted to give her a reason for not being able to come along, Rannoch added, "I promised Liffey I'd come home for lunch and she's expecting me."

Stealing a glance at Hydra, as if to gauge her reaction, Rannoch suggested, "I can in about an hour or two?"
