I'm proud of you already, Grayday wanted to say, but he didn't. Sunny would do his best to serve the pack either way, and although it hurt the father to see his children struggle, he knew that all their striving would do them good in the end.

"I know you will," he said instead. The pair continued on into the territory to greet their family once more.
