Rannoch laughed at Waren's remark and found himself instantly intrigued to learn of Terance's first impression of the Caldera. "I'll have to ask him about that soon," replied Rannoch with amusement in his voice. 

As Waren voiced her concerns, Rannoch listened; she perfectly articulated what had been troubling him since Galaxy's death. "I totally agree," he agreed with a nod. "I feel a great deal of loyalty to Charon and his family. But, now, it's so hard to see past what has happened." Rannoch paused then, considering his next words carefully. 

"It's hard to feel this way; we're in a tough spot." Now that they had witnessed their leadership in the midst of conflict, they were faced with a decision. "We obviously are troubled by what happened. But, is that feeling stronger than our loyalty to the pack?" At the moment, Rannoch was conflicted, and he didn't know where he stood on the matter. To explain himself, he elaborated, "This isn't the first time something terrible has happened, and it isn't the last. We will live through more conflicts, and leadership will continue to act to their character," Rannoch could not blame them for being themselves, but he couldn't agree with how they handled things, "More blood will spill, and even though our loyalty will linger, we will also gather that blood on our paws." 

He looked to Waren then, his voice heavy as he addressed her, "It's something I've been thinking about a lot."
