Not quite, his rage was still there, but he’d certainly gotten better over time. “Even if you would have stayed, they still would have left you eventually.”—whilst he was now in an environment that kept him from feeling the threat of abandonment, that didn’t take away from the past—“It was only a matter of time.” He knew nothing about her or her companions but this he was certain of.
