Broken Boulder now i'm feeling things, so be sure

The words make her heart pound and her nerves spark in ways she doesn't quite understand. Even Samuel had not invoked such feelings in her. The sprite realizes she wants Kavik always to be there. She feels the same vertigo that she felt when they first met; the familiarity of Kavik and the intuition that he has some great part in her future.

Liri nuzzles him, pulling away as he does to watch him stretch upon the ground. Liri curls against him, facing him this time, good and bad legs alike tucked under her. 

Her peppered muzzle brushes through Kavik's night-colored coat, worrying out any knots. She grooms him, hoping to soothe him as he does her. 

Finally, the ghost stretches out her neck and rests her head on Kavik's side. Her head rises and falls with his breaths and her sepia eyes fall shut contentedly. 

With a soft huff of happiness, Liri falls asleep against her gentle giant. The sun warms her fur, drying it, and with Kavik beside her, Liri can think of nowhere she'd rather be.
