Heron Lake Plateau Lost some pieces I can't replace

She seemed to be fine with that suggestion, but a few moments later, realization hit.  He stopped when she did, though with a small lag, and turned to look questioningly.

His expression cleared when she explained, and he smiled, nodding in a different direction.  "It's no den, but I got a spot.  If you want."  He'd been staying in a small copse not too far from where Fin had her den, to be close enough to call but far enough for space.  He'd never much gotten into dens solely because he'd never been places long enough to bother making one, and now the habit was ingrained.  Hot night like tonight, it was nice where the breeze could catch anyhow.
