okeanos is sensitive to the tension in the den though he does not know exactly what is causing it or why. he is happy still: he has mama seebee and oly, ibby and the other children by his side. he sticks close to ibby, oblivious to the trauma she went through but intent on being by her side anyway as a good brother should. when papa rounds them up he goes easily, ever the polite boy, taking his gelman with him. 

he drops the wing at papa's feet as he curls up, eyes round. "story!" the sprite chirps, "was 'co'nut'??"
