He was familiar with these animals, and he knew he could handle the beast. He watched as Grezig connected with one of the creature's legs but soon lost her grip. Kavik came up soon after and lunged himself at the tender part of that same leg where it connected to the rest of the animal's body. He felt teeth sink into flesh and began ripping and tearing, hoping to inflict enough damage to slow the creature down some. The caribou swung it's massive antlers in his direction, forcing the alpha to let go as they just barely grazed his shoulder. He hit the ground running, though, and circled around to the other side to launch another strike at just the right time.
